Minokamo Cultural Forest (29.4-1.5 2011)
About the work -「Woodland Gallery 2011」「ろじうらvol.3」出展 / Exhibited at “Woodland Gallery 2011” and “Rojiura vol.3”
Inspired by my childhood experience of discovering the remnants of a children's secret base in a nearby mountain, I created an installation piece on the theme of "Ruins of a Secret Base" for the outdoor space of the Minokamo Cultural Forest / Minokamo City Museum.
I gathered everyday items commonly seen from the 1980s to the early 1990s and arranged them in the forest to resemble a secret base made by children. Additionally, next to these items, I placed paper fragments tracing texts from my past sketchbooks, my father's student essays, and letters written by my friends from the past, collecting and displaying the subtle everyday sensations of "a little while ago."
This work was also exhibited at the outdoor exhibition "Rojiura Vol. 3" held in the Kamezaki area of Handa City, Aichi Prefecture in October 2012.
